Adele, the Grammy-winning British singer, has announced a hiatus from the music scene.

The announcement came during her final show in Munich, Germany on August 31.

The singer said she is ready to focus on other aspects of her life after nearly three years of non-stop touring and performing.

“I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break, and I will fantasise about these shows and any shows that I have done over the last three years. It has been amazing, I just need a rest,” Adele said

“I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now, I want to live the life that I have been building and I will miss you terribly.”

Adele, during one of her recent German concerts, announced that she got engaged to her love interest.

The 36-year-old was formerly married to Simon Konecki.

They later divorced in March 2021 despite having a son together.

Adele is considered one of the greatest British singers of all time.

She is extolled as the best-selling female artiste of the 21st century in the UK.

Adele has earned several awards for her craft.

These include 16 Grammy Awards, 12 Brit Awards, an Oscar award, a Primetime Emmy, and a Golden Globe.
