Adekunle Gold, highlife and R&B singer, mesmerised the crowd at Trace Live where he debuted songs off his new album ‘About 30’.

The ‘Ire’ singer’s performance was supported by the 79th Element band, never missing a beat.

Aside from songs from his forthcoming sophomore album, Gold serenaded the crowd with hits like ‘Pick Up’, ‘My Life’ and many more.

Gold’s performance also featured him singing a twist of iconic tunes like ‘Water No Get Enemy’ by Fela and ‘Celebration’ by Kool & The Gang.

At intervals during the show, Gold responded to live tweets from fans displayed on the screen, giving the performance a more intimate feeling.

The evening came to a glorious conclusion with an emotional rendition of ‘Ire’ with backing vocals from a choir dressed in white robes.
