The police in Adamawa say they have arrested two pastors for allegedly having an extra-marital affair.
According to Premium Times, the accused persons — Ebenezer Otinjele and Juliana Daniel — who work at the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC), are being held at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the state.
Otinjele is a pastor with Liberty International Gospel Centre in Yola while Juliana, who ministers at the Encouragement Fellowship International, is the wife to Eli Daniel, an official of the federal ministry of power in Abuja.
It is understood that their arrest came after Juliana’s husband accused the duo of engaging in a sexual relationship.
Daniel said his wife had worked under Otinjele when he was the business manager at the YEDC where he claimed they started having sex.
He also said he married her in 2002 and the union has been blessed with five children, “including the two she had with Ebenezer whom she made him to believe” belong to him.
“After our marriage, I secured a job for her in early 2016 where she was posted to Yola Business unit and later deployed to work in the office of the then business manager, Pastor Ebenezer,” Daniel was quoted as saying.
“This is where they started their extramarital relationship. After her deployment to the office of Ebenezer, they started having sexual intercourse to the extent of committing such an act in our matrimonial home at Mbamba.
“They go to the house when the children have gone to school, and that they sometimes send the children to buy something outside if they were at home so as to have space of time.”
According to Daniel, his wife had two children for the clergyman despite being married to him.
Investigation is however ongoing on the matter with the state police command stating that it “will not hesitate to ensure that the law take its course through prosecution”.
