Sharon Okpamen, the Nollywood actress and producer, has passed away.
The actress’ death was announced by Stanley Ontop, the movie producer, in a recent Instagram post.
Sharing a picture of the filmmaker, Stanley described her death as “unfortunate”, adding that her passing has “left a significant void in the industry”.
“Nollywood actor and producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on. It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry,” he wrote.
“Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace, amen @sharonokpamen It can only get better Shalom!”
As of the time of this report, the cause of her death and when she died remained unknown.
Sharon’s family has yet to issue an official statement regarding her passing.
Checks by TheCable Lifestyle on Okpamen’s Instagram page showed that she welcomed her second child nearly a month ago.
She ventured into acting as far back as the mid-2000s but gained popularity for her role in ‘Touch Not My Crown’, the 2010 movie.
Okpamen has featured in a number of movies such as ‘The Great Servant’, ‘Take A Fall’, ‘Eshikito’, ‘Enibokun Nollose’, ‘Ovbieze Odehiomwan’, ‘Olighi, Efosa’ and ‘The Housewife’.
