Bukky Amos-Bello, the Nigerian actress and producer, has announced the passing of her father Olaniyi Mofolorunsho Amos.

In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared a picture of her late father, while reminiscing on the memories they shared together.

“Baba mi Amos Olaniyi Mofolorunsho Alamu Oladapo, goodnight. Thank you for sharing your life with me. Thank you for being my ‘forever ajitannawo’. Thank you for being the best father, grandfather and great grandfather,” she wrote.

Her message continued with a poignant mix of grief and gratitude, recalling a specific promise he had made.

She concluded the emotional farewell by expressing the depth of her loss.

“I’m typing this smiling, you said you will leave after replacing my love for you. You waited until I became a grandmother, the sparkles on your eyes when I gave you the news. Thank you for sharing your last moments with me,” she added.

“I’ll forever cherish those eyes that were wide open for me just last night. Baba mi this hurts so deep, your passing hurts so deep but thank you for fulfilling all your promises. I’ll always love you. Sleep tight omo olofamojo.”

Although the cause of her father’s death was not disclosed, the comments section was flooded with messages of support, prayers, and condolences from fans, colleagues, and fellow industry figures.

Bukky began her acting career in the late 1900s but gained prominence for her role in ‘Arewa’, the 2003 film. She has featured in several movies since then.
