The South Africa and UK-based writer and entrepreneur announced the global launch of the innovative platform in a statement on Tuesday.

Prodculator, established under DEO Media, aims to empower filmmakers, producers, and investors by allowing them to calculate tax rebates and connect with potential funders worldwide.

Lojede described Prodculator as “a game-changer, bridging the gap between film producers and funders while demystifying the complex world of tax rebates”.

“As the global film industry continues to grow, navigating tax incentives and securing financing remains a major challenge for creatives,” Lojede said.

“For instance, a Nigerian filmmaker looking to shoot in South Africa or the UK can use the platform to calculate available tax rebates in those countries within minutes.”

Prodculator offers creatives access to funding opportunities and helps investors discover projects to support.

It also facilitates direct connections between filmmakers and investors interested in supporting productions through grants, rebates, and private financing.

The platform is one of several innovative projects from Lojede and his team at DEO Media.

Other upcoming releases this year include Afrotods, a children-focused content platform, a soon-to-be-launched YouTube channel, and a creative masterclass platform.
