Foluke, wife of Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has narrated how poisoned food brought to their home on a New Year’s Day killed their dog.
In a recent video addressing the church’s congregation, the 77-year-old cleric recalled how a meal gifted to their household was found to be laced with poison.
Foluke shared the experience as a warning about the need for spiritual discernment and caution when receiving gifts, especially during festive seasons.
“Somebody on one of the New Year Day brought food to our house. Of course, so many people had been coming in, going, and eating,” she said.
“I just entered into the kitchen and asked who own this food. They said a person brought it. I looked at the food and asked them to give it to the dogs.
“One woman who came from London was looking at me, and she almost abused me but because I’m a mother that’s why she couldn’t abuse me immediately.
“But in an hour’s time, the gateman brought the news that the dog has died. Imagine that on a New Year Day somebody in the house of Daddy G.O ate that food, or about three or four people ate it. What will be the news?”
Adeboye tied the knot with Foluke in 1967. The couple share three children.
