Ruth Kadiri, the Nigerian producer and actress, has opened up on the challenges accompanying being famous.
In a recent interview on Jay On Air podcast, Kadiri said her biggest priority is protecting her peace, happiness, and personal fulfillment as she continues to build her career.
She added that staying true to herself matters more than fame or public validation.
“The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer. I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness and fulfillment for myself whilst growing and building what I want to build and I am not going to let anybody sway me,” she said.
Kadiri began her acting career in the mid-2000s and is one of Nollywood’s most respected figures.
She is also a movie producer who prefers to upload her movies on YouTube. She has garnered over three million subscribers on the video streaming platform.
In July, Kadiri opened up on the reasons behind her choice to keep her marriage out of the public eye.
She disclosed that maintaining privacy was a mutual decision between her and her husband further adding that the low-key approach has also shielded him from public pressure, allowing him to live a normal life away from the spotlight.
