Davido’s visit to Macron comes days after the Osun state government appointed him as chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund.

The initiative aims to raise funds to transform the state’s sports sector and ensure sustainable financing for athletic development.

Kola Adewusi, the state’s deputy governor and commissioner for sports, said the decision was part of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s plan to upgrade the Osogbo Township Stadium to Olympic standards.

He said the renovation and rehabilitation of the project will soon be completed.

Adewumi said Davido’s global reputation will help attract private-sector investments and sponsorships into the state’s sports ecosystem.
