The Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) has unveiled a the roster of industry leaders, including Obi Asika, Audu Maikori, and Mike Dada, as speakers for its 2025 edition.
The conference is set to return on November 28 in Lagos under the theme ‘Powering Africa Through Creative Enterprise’.
This year’s gathering aims to assemble a diverse coalition of entertainment professionals, policymakers, investors, and emerging talent to formulate actionable strategies for the sustainable growth of the continent’s booming creative sector.
The speaker lineup reflects a strategic blend of established executives and a new generation of influential creatives.
Featured speakers include advertising luminary Steve Babaeko, film executive Moses Babatope, media mogul Funmi Iyanda, media CEO John Ugbe, and academic Chris Ihidero.
They will be joined by content creator Fisayo Fosudo, branding expert Moliehi Molekoa, journalist Nora Awolowo, film critic Shaibu Husseini, media personality Folu Storms, artist Qudus Onikeku, and entrepreneur Dolapo Amusat.
Collectively, these voices are slated to lead critical discussions on the future of Africa’s creative industries.
The agenda will span film, music, digital content, and the business of entertainment, with a sharp focus on building the necessary policies, infrastructure, and partnerships to unlock the continent’s immense economic potential.
Ayeni Adekunle, the founder and convener of NECLive, emphasized that the 2025 conference arrives at a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s entertainment ecosystem as it commands increasing global recognition and economic significance.
“After more than a decade of facilitating crucial conversations within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, we’re witnessing an unprecedented moment where our creative talents are gaining global recognition and commercial success,” he said.
“However, we must now focus on building the infrastructure, appropriate policies, and business frameworks that will ensure this momentum translates into sustainable economic power for our nation.”
Since its inception in 2013, NECLive has established itself as West Africa’s largest and most influential gathering for the creative industry, hosting over 500 keynotes, workshops, and masterclasses while attracting more than 100,000 participants and reaching an audience of over 100 million people across 50 countries.
NECLive 2025 will feature policy advocacy sessions, business development workshops, innovation showcases, networking opportunities and live performance platforms.
This will offer participants a comprehensive view of how creativity can drive Africa’s economic transformation.
