Nicole Kidman, the US actress, and singer Keith Urban have parted ways after almost 20 years together.
According to BBC and People , the couple who have been married since June 2006 have gone their separate ways.
However, the reason for their split remains unknown.
The news was first reported by TMZ, with sources claiming the pair had been living apart since the beginning of the summer.
Reports suggest Urban, 57, initiated the separation, while Kidman, 58, is said to be against the split.
“She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage,” BBC source said.
Kidman and Urban first met in 2005 at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles and tied the knot in a private ceremony in Sydney in June 2006.
Over the years, they grew into one of Hollywood’s most admired couples, often offering glimpses of their family life on social media and in interviews. They share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise for more than a decade. The pair, who also share two children, ended their marriage in 2001.
Despite ongoing speculation about their marriage, Kidman and Urban were seen together in June at a FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee.
They also appeared side by side in May when Urban was honoured with the ACM Triple Crown Award at the Academy of Country Music Awards, where they were photographed kissing and holding hands.
