Last week, Peller posted on his Instagram page that he was hiring a cameraman.

He stated that 20 applicants would be interviewed, with only two selected. He also asked the applicants to come with their master’s degrees.

Last Friday, the TikTok star live-streamed the screening process, where he questioned candidates about their qualifications and even joked about some being “overqualified”.

However, the situation took a turn when an X user called out Peller for what she described as “unfair treatment” during the interview.

She accused him of tribalism, claiming he asked about her ethnicity and mocked her appearance.

The user argued that the job offer appeared to be just for content rather than a genuine employment opportunity.

“I went for Peller’s job opening with the intention to work, pitch myself, and grow,” she wrote.

“But instead, I was used for content. No actual job. No follow-up. Just part of another episode.

“And honestly? That’s unfair.

“I’m not against content creation I am a content creator myself.”

However, in a video shared on his Instagram story, Peller denied the accusations, insisting that the hiring process was “legitimate”.

The TikTok star also revealed that he had already employed one applicant and was paying him “N500,000 upfront before resumption”.
