In an upcoming episode of Hero Daniel’s podcast, the ‘Kukere’ hitmaker revealed the painful sequence of events, beginning with his father’s death just days before a major career breakthrough.

Iyanya disclosed that shortly after he emerged from a music competition, his brother also passed away.

He added that tragedy struck again when his mother died moments before he was due to perform at a show.

The singer revealed that his uncle broke the news to him right after he left the stage.

“The lowest point of my life, I would say, losing my family. I lost three people in about two years. My dad passed about seven or eight days to me being recruited,” he said.

“Immediately, I came out, and it was my brother who followed. I met my mom. The day my mom died, I had a show. I was backstage. I think like four minutes after my performance, my mom’s junior brother was calling me back to back.

“So I picked the call, he goes, your mom is dead. And we are also in this era where private love lacks verification. Because the norm is everybody showing off flowers, dates, kisses on social media.”
