The seven-track project, which was released in the early hours of Friday, is a teaser for his upcoming album ‘Uncle K’.

‘Lemon Chase’ is a deeply personal body of work exploring universal themes of love, loss, peace, and a good time which every listener can relate to.

From the opening notes of ‘Black Girl Magic’ to the closing collaboration ‘Police‘ featuring Mavin Records’ Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, Daniel crafts a compelling emotional narrative through his music.

The soulful stylings of Drille and Kidjo blend seamlessly with the raw, street-infused energy of Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck, and the duo of Zlatan and Fola reuniting with Daniel after their hit ‘Lost’.

The diverse lineup adds rich layers of emotion and depth, perfectly complementing Daniel’s own versatility and resulting in a dynamic sound that defines the EP’s spirit.

Reward Beatz produced ‘Eyo’ and ‘Black Girl Magic’ alongside Bando and Blaise Beatz

Blaise Beatz also led production on ‘Secure’ and ‘Peace I Chose’. ‘Titi’ was produced by Magic Sticks and co-produced by Reward Beatz, and Blaise Beatz while ‘Al Jannah’ was shaped by Ayzed’s touch.

Speaking about the EP, Daniel said: “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it, I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful.

“This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.”

He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a contract dispute and court case.
