Yul Edochie, the Nigerian actor, has declared himself the “future governor of Anambra state“.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the film star shared a video of himself and Judy Austin, his second wife.
In the footage, the lovebirds were arriving at the birthday party of Odumeje, a controversial Onitsha-based cleric.
In the accompanying caption, the 42-year-old actor confidently proclaimed that he and Judy would be the “future governor and first lady of Anambra state, respectively”.
“Arrival of the future governor and first lady of Anambra state, Yul Edochie and Judy Austin at prophet Odumeje’s birthday,” he wrote.

Yul unveiled Judy as his second wife in April 2022. He also announced their first child together — to the dissatisfaction of May, his first wife.
In August 2023, May filed for divorce from Yul and demanded N100 million in damages. In June, DPA Family Clinic, the legal team of May, claimed Yul stopped caring for his children.
In 2021, Yul announced his interest in running for the presidency of Nigeria.
Before his presidential bid, he had contested the Anambra state governorship election in 2017 under the Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC).
However, the actor lost after securing only 145 votes.
