‘I’m not his PA, nanny’ — Ubi Franklin clarifies relationship with Davido

Ubi Franklin, the Nigerian artiste manager, has set the record straight on his relationship with Davido, the Afrobeats star.

In a recent post on X, Franklin responded to a critic who referred to him as the personal assistant of Chioma, Davido’s wife.

The music executive disclosed that he works with Davido as a business administrator, leveraging his qualifications and experience in the music industry.

Franklin also emphasised that he is not Davido’s assistant or nanny, but rather a key player in the singer’s business operations.

“Davido’s setup and brand is one anyone will be happy to work for. If you look inside deeply he is more influential than a governor of many state you worship, the only thing he doesn’t have is a government budget,” he wrote.

“Ubi is CEO of @mademenmusicg and if you see me working with Davido it’s because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator.

“David calls me #thesolutionist. Do with that what you want. I am definitely not his PA or Nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with, if that makes you happy so be it. I am on the business end and that where I’ll always be.

“Some great guys who are Davido’s PA/Assitant are doing a job most of you will forever dream of, they wear the best designer watches and clothes, they have investments in and out of Nigeria and have travelled the world with many experiences that money cannot buy.”
