Nicki Minaj, the US rapper, has released a new song titled ‘If It’s Okay’, featuring David Guetta, the record producer, and Davido, the Afrobeats star.
Minaj announced the song’s release via her social media on Friday, and thanked Davido for joining the collaboration.
‘If It’s Okay’ is a track from the rapper’s new project titled ‘The Pinkprint‘.
On the track, Minaj’s lyrics set the tone.
“Don’t hide what you feel, ’cause what you feel is real, yeah and you deserve the glory, yeah you just gotta let me know, yeah (You just gotta let me know),” the lyrics read.
Davido also brought emotion to the track with his verse.
“Baby, I’ve been cryin’ since morning. Oh, my God, dutti-gon-go. Ain’t nobody after you, you see it clearly. Can’t hide it, girl, I feel hollow and I need you in my life, so baby, let’s work it, ’cause I know you not okay (Work it out),” he sings.
Minaj rose to fame with the release of her debut album ‘Pink Friday’ in 2010.
She has released other projects including ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ (2012) and ‘The Pinkprint’ (2014).
