Yul Edochie, the Nigerian actor, has taken a hit at critics of his marriage to Judy Austin.
Yul shocked fans after he unveiled Austin as his second wife in April 2022. He also announced their first child together — to the dissatisfaction of May, his first wife.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 42-year-old filmmaker addressed critics who he claimed were spreading falsehoods about him to elicit sympathy.
“No lie wey dem never talk for my head just to draw pity and sell market,” he said in pidgin English.
“Dem go soon talk say I be 40 seconds man.”
Although Yul did not mention names, his post comes after his brother Linc’s comment about his second marriage.
Linc and Yul are the sons of veteran actor Pete Edochie.
But in a recent interview, Linc shared his thoughts on Yul’s decision to constantly flaunt Judy on social media.
He cautioned that the people praising Yul would quickly turn against him if issues arose in his second marriage.
“What is done is done… My father always says, ‘Take your marriage off social media,” Linc said.
In August 2023, May filed for divorce from Yul and demanded N100 million in damages.
In June, DPA Family Clinic, the legal team of May, claimed Yul stopped caring for his children.
