The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is commemorated every January 15. The special day pays tribute to fallen heroes and servicemen who died in active service, as well as veterans of World War I and II, and the Nigerian civil war.

In a post via its X page on Tuesday, the armed forces invited interested poets to submit their work, emphasizing that the poems should be heartfelt tributes to the fallen heroes.

The post revealed that selected entries will be featured in the 2025 Defence Magazine and shared on the armed forces’ social media pages.
