Carolyna Hutchings, the Scottish-Nigerian actress, and her colleague Shan George have called out Ashluxury, a luxury fashion store in Lagos, over an alleged teargas attack.
In a series of posts on social media, the film star said she and George briefly parked outside the Ashluxury store, waiting for an Uber, when they were confronted by a police officer who forcefully demanded that they move their vehicle.
Hutchings, formerly called Caroline Danjuma, said the situation escalated quickly as the officer allegedly discharged them with teargas.
The 37-year-old movie star also vowed to take legal action against the fashion brand.
“I have no desire to stop your business but I won’t let you hurt me for nothing,” she wrote.
“The attacker is your staff ( even tho he claimed to be a police official which has to be confirmed ) and as long as you keep protecting him , you would face the music @ashluxury.”

On her part, George shared her ordeal on Instagram, stating that she is “heartbroken over the unprovoked attack”.
The 54-year-old said she is struggling with her eyes and having difficulty in breathing following the incident.
“I am more heartbroken than angry. Yesterday I realised that some people will waste anybody without provocation. God help us. Satan is on a rampage, she wrote.
“I am losing my eyes, I am unable to breathe well, I am taking medications.”
