Dolce & Gabbana, the Italian fashion house, has introduced its first-ever fragrance for dogs, named ‘Fefé.’
The fragrance was unveiled on Friday through the brand’s social media platforms.
Dolce & Gabbana, in a blog post, described the perfume as a tribute to co-founder Domenico Dolce’s dog, Fefé.
The fragrance is an alcohol-free scent featuring delicate notes of Ylang Ylang, Musk, and Sandalwood, crafted to enhance a playful grooming routine.
“Inspired by Domenico Dolce’s unconditional love for his loyal dog Fefé, this alcohol-free scented mist for dogs blends fresh and delicate notes of Ylang Ylang, Musk, and Sandalwood. It’s a tender and embracing fragrance crafted for a playful beauty routine,” the blog post reads.
Encased in a sleek green lacquered glass bottle, ‘Fefé’ is adorned with a red metal cap and a 24-carat gold-plated paw.
Emilie Coppermann, the renowned designer perfumer, designed the fragrance.
Priced at €99 ($109) for a 100 mL (3.4 oz) bottle, ‘Fefé’ also comes with a D&G dog collar, available in two sizes, with an optional engraving tag.
The commercial, featured on the Dolce & Gabbana YouTube channel, shows dogs sitting perfectly still on high stools during the shoot, except for one playful rebel.
According to the post, for less cooperative pets: “Spray Fefé on your hands or on a brush and proceed by rubbing or brushing your dog’s fur from the middle of the body towards the tail to give them a moment of scented pampering”.
In March 2023, Prada unveiled a high-fashion dog coat priced at $795.
