Rema, the Nigerian singer, has put out his highly anticipated sophomore album titled ‘Heis’.
The 11-track body of work was released in the early hours of Thursday.
‘Heis’ follows Rema’s debut album, ‘Rave & Roses’, which was released in March 2022.
In the project, the 24-year-old megastar recruits notable artistes such as Shallipopi and Odumodublvck.
Rema had previously primed fans for the album’s release with two pre-release singles, ‘Benin Boys‘ and ‘Hehehe‘.
In ‘Hehehe’, he taunts his critics, stating they can keep talking about him while he continues to make more money.
Rema also brags about his success as well as his rich culture, values, and people in ‘Benin Boys’.
Other tracks on the album include ‘March Am’, ‘Azaman’, ‘Yayo’, ‘Heis’, ‘Ozeba’, ‘War Machine’, ‘Egungun’, ‘Villain’, and ‘Now I Know’.
Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.
Since then, he has solidified his place as one of the leading figures in the African music scene.
At the 16th Headies, he won the awards for ‘Best Male Artiste’ and ‘Digital Artiste Of The Year’.
In December 2023, Rema was recognised as one of the most exported artists who dominated the year’s charts in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) on Spotify.
