Tonto Dikeh, the Nollywood actress, says her biggest prayer is to understand the Muslim faith.
The film star expressed her admiration for the religion via her Instagram page.
She said she has been waking up to the “call to prayer from a nearby mosque” for four years while describing it as “the best sound, sound of love, dedication and God’s beauty”.
Dikeh also inquired about other ways to donate to a mosque — aside from financially.
“I wake up to the best sound every day for the past four years. It’s the sound of love and dedication, the sound of God’s beauty and love,” she wrote.
“If I wanted to donate to a Mosque what do I give aside money? God bless every Muslim, I hear your prayers. May Allah answer you.”
She also commended Muslims’ “dedication and intentionality” towards their faith.
“God/Allah is love. I’m deeply touched. My biggest prayer is to understand the Muslim faith. Their dedication and intentionality is worthy of emulation,” she added.
Aside from being a Nollywood actress, Dikeh is also a politician. In 2020, the film star opened up about her plans to go into politics.
During the 2023 gubernatorial election, she vied for Rivers deputy governor under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
She lost the election and defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in October last year.
