In a snippet of a yet-to-be-released Honest Bunch podcast, Kanayo emphasised he wants to be actively in the film industry “at age 90”.

Born Anayo Onyekwere, the 62-year-old also expressed concerns over what he described as the “influx of untalented women in Nollywood”.

The ace film star and producer addressed issues of drug abuse and homosexuality in Nollywood.

“Many girls are desperate to act. You don’t come to Nollywood to learn how to act. Acting is natural. If it’s not in you, go and sell crayfish,” he said.

“For men who have unnatural… When I say unnatural in law, you should understand it to be when man dey sleep with man and all those things. (E dey happen for the industry?) Of course.

“Are you aware most artistes are on drugs?

“… let us run some people out of the [movie] industry. I want a situation where at 70, 75, 80, 90, I will still be acting.”

Last year, Kanayo claimed some person joined Nollywood to “sell sex”.

He warned that the movie industry should not be a platform for people who “engage in the sex trade and homosexuality”.

Last month, Kanayo introduced Clinton, his first son, to filmmaking.
