D’banj, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a single titled ‘Koko’ — which is a track off his upcoming album.
The singer announced the release of the project via his social media pages.
He described the song as “the new Koko’ anthem” while appreciating Olamide, the rapper, for gifting him the song.
“What does the Koko mean to you Since’04 and right now in 2024? ‘Koko’ from my upcoming album out now!” he wrote.
“Big shout out to my brother @Olamide Baddo Lee for blessing me with this jam and to the amazing producer @eskeezondbeat.
“You can call this ‘The new KoKo anthem’! Run it up.”
However, the album’s date of release has not been disclosed.
‘Koko’ comes after the release of ‘Since ’04’ where D’banj paid tributes to the former members of Mo’ Hits Records, a label he co-founded with Don Jazzy, the music producer, in 2006.
Born Oladapo Oyebanjo, D’banj rose to fame after the release of ‘No Long Thing’, his debut album in 2005.
With a string of awards and accolades, he has continued to make a name for himself in the music industry.
D’banj recently tendered an apology to his former members of Mo’ Hits.
On April 12, he announced a partnership with The Temple Company, an entertainment powerhouse, to celebrate 20 years in the creative industry.
Recently, he appreciated Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho, for his positive contribution in his career.
