The board said the candidates and their centres did not comply with the standards.

Fabian Benjamin, the board’s national spokesperson, confirmed the development in a statement on Sunday.

He said the 24,535 candidates under this category are those who did their exam at centres where there is “strong proof of substantial non-compliance with the board’s standards”.

The board said the candidates should start printing their notification slips from June 4 to confirm their examination centres.

JAMB said June 22 was chosen as the date for the supplementary UTME to give the affected candidates enough time to prepare.

The board further said an additional 3,921 withheld results from its 2024 run have also been released.

JAMB, on April 29, released the UTME results of 1,842,464 candidates.

The exam body said 64,624 results were under investigation for reasons including verification anomalies, centres suspected for infractions, and cases of exam malpractice.

The now-released results take the total number of results released to 1,883,350.

Concerned candidates are asked to start checking their results from June 1.

Benjamin said the results can be viewed by sending RESULT to 55019 or 66019 through SMS.

He said other candidates with cases of examination misconduct will be further interrogated to find them guilty or not.

The measures that would be taken, he added, will then be announced.
