Stephen Akintayo, the chairman at Gtext Holdings, the real estate company, has announced plans to venture into movie productions.
Speaking with journalists in Ikoyi, Lagos ahead of the 16th anniversary of Gtext Holdings, Akintayo said the company has evolved over the past decade and is expanding into the entertainment industry.
The businessman said technological advancement has contributed to the organisation’s growth, including its digital marketing.
He added that part of the expansion in the company’s digital marketing is the launch of Stephen Akintayo Productions which will cater “for movie and documentary productions”.
The real estate mogul said the company “will release its first production in the next two years”.
“We are back in tech. Software is in the backline as well as digital marketing. We are back. We are just subtle. I handle the social media handles behind the scenes for a lot of powerful people in this country. Of course, many of them I did not charge them for it. It is a trade by barter system in exchange for access to their wisdom and to learn from them,” he said.
“I think we are back and very soon you will be seeing a lot more. For example, our digital marketing is evolving into a new company called Stephen Akintayo Productions. We are going to be involved in movies. In the next two years watch out for our movies, our documentaries that will start coming out.”
Akintayo recently shared his 16-year story as a businessman growing “from one estate to over 30 cut across 7 states in Nigeria and also in the USA…from 1 employee to over 300 in 4 continents, namely Africa, Uk, Dubai for Middle East, USA for The Americas”.
