‘You can’t return bride price via transfer’ — Isreal DMW hits estranged wife

Isreal ‘DMW’ Afeare, Davido’s logistics manager, has asked Sheila David, his estranged wife, to return the bride price he paid to marry her “the right way”.

The couple married in October 2022 but the union crashed in November 2023.

On Tuesday, Sheila, while replying to a curious Instagram fan who advised her to return Isreal’s bride price, revealed she had done it.

However, Isreal denied the claims, adding that the bride price was “never returned”.

In a now-deleted post, he further questioned if a lady is allowed to return her bride price “through SMS”.

“Does a lady personally return her bride price to her husband through SMS? Was it even paid through SMS? How is a bride price returned? You go hear,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, Isreal asked Sheila to return his bride price in a “proper way”, and not through “transfer”.

“Kindly return my bride price in a proper way. You can’t transfer it directly to me through alert. I was never the one who paid it directly, my family did,” he wrote.

“And it was directly by hand. We married under the acts and it is only a Federal High Court who has the statutory powers to get it dissolved after two years.”

Isreal also claimed Sheila once accused him of not satisfying her during sexual intercourse.

He alleged that she asked him to buy a N10 million property in her name as a condition for them to remain married.

Reacting to their split, she claimed Isreal abused her “physically and emotionally” while they were together.
