In a recent interview with Billboard, Savage said she had dabbled in R&B in the past, but she is now ready to fully embrace the genre.

The songstress said although she is willing to take the risk, she added that she will not forget her African roots.

“RnB first time, I am taking the step finally. I have been wanting to do it for so long, I have dabbled in it,” she said.

“In a couple of my songs, you can hear the influence but right now I am going full RnB. I Am not going to forget my African roots obviously but yeah I am going to take the risk even if it is just 10 people that stream.”

Asked when fans can expect a project from her, the singer said “I would say I am 50% done”.

Since the release of her breakout single ‘Kele Kele Love’ in 2010, Tiwa has established herself as one of the prominent faces in the Nigerian music landscape.
