In the 10-track project, Skip featured some of the hit tracks of his late grandfather, including ‘One Love’, the 1978 song, and the 1980’s ‘Redemption Song’.
Other songs in the album are ‘Three Little Birds’ ft Teni and Oxlade, ‘Waiting in Vain’ ft. Tiwa Savage, ‘Buffalo Soldier’ ft. Stonebwoy, and ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’ ft. Afro B.
‘So Much Trouble’, ‘Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)’, ‘Stir It Up’, and ‘Jamming’ are the songs that complete the album.
Skip also enlisted music stars like Nutty O, Winky O, Ami Faku, and Afrobeats singers Rema and Ayra Starr for the body of works.
Bob Marley passed away on May 11, 1981, after battling acral lentiginous melanoma — a form of skin cancer — for four years.
Before his demise, the legendary singer used music to speak truth to power, fight deeply-rooted societal ills, and preach love in a world grappling with racial discrimination and other forms of divisions.
