Tacha Akide, the reality TV star, has criticised her colleagues who are “uninterested” in elections.
The general election is to hold on February 25 and public figures have been endorsing their preferred candidates.
Many entertainers have joined the campaign of their preferred politicians while others have remained neutral.
In a Twitter post on Friday, Tacha said the election season is opening people’s eyes to see who their idols are.
“I love how this election period is really opening our eyes to see our so-called Idols!” the ex-BBN housemate said.
Tacha described some entertainers as money-crazed, writing in Pidgin English: “Na money idols all of them be!”

She worried about her colleagues who detach themselves from elections, stating that their excuses are irrational.
“Because the way a lot of us are separating ourselves from this election and giving very unserious reasons is truly worrisome!” her tweet further reads.
“You have to be benefiting from this terrible system to be staying quiet! We truly deserve our leaders.”
Tacha Akide has been vocal about the 2023 general elections while occasionally weighing in on social issues.
The BBN star recently urged Nigerians to vote their conscience, emphasising the importance of having a voter card.
“We need to tell the powerful that the next election won’t be business as usual,” Tacha had argued.
