Jason David Frank, the actor famed for his role in ‘Power Rangers‘, has passed away at age 49.
BBC reports that Justine Hunt, his manager, confirmed that he passed away on Saturday in Texas.
But sources with direct knowledge of the incident were quoted as telling TMZ that the actor died by suicide.
Hunt Frank as a “wonderful human being” while asking for “privacy” on behalf of the bereaved family.
“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being,” the manager said.
“He loved his family, friends, and fans very much. He will truly be missed.”
Jason David Frank is known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the 1993 run of ‘The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ show.
The film star starred as one of the six leads on the show for 3 seasons, totaling over 100 episodes.
He went on to reprise his role as Tommy in several adaptions of the ‘Power Rangers’ franchise.
This includes ‘Wild Force’, ‘Turbo’, ‘Zeo’ ‘Dino Thunder’, ‘Megaforce’ and so many others.
