Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has come through with the visuals for ‘It’s Plenty’, his hit single.
The song is the ninth track from ‘Love, Damini’, the singer’s chart-topping sixth studio album.
Directed by the ‘Last Last’ crooner himself, the colourful video opens up with various clips of Burna Boy’s performances in different countries.
The scenery then changes to what appears to be a barbing salon before it is taken to the streets where Burna Boy sings about his desires to enjoy life and be celebrated.
The ‘African Giant’ crooner, as usual, doesn’t disappoint as he perfectly blends his baritone voice to the rhythm of the instrumentals.
“Gbe mi trabaye/ Make you no dey shalaye/ I don’t want nobody to give my matter k-leg/ For this life I dey I want to be celebrated/ Don’t wanna waste my days/ I want to spend them on enjoyment,” the song lyrics read.
The megastar recently revealed how he got his stage name.
“This is weird but I used to draw comic books and copy different superheroes like Spiderman, Superman and I would just draw it,” he had said.
“At one point, I wanted my own superhero, where I could draw myself as a superhero with the cape and all that. I was trying to come up with a name and all I could think of was Burna Boy.”
He had also talked about his ‘Love, Damini’ album.
