The Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG), a subsidiary of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, has called for applications for the seventh round of its scholarships.
The AIG scholarships offer opportunities to exceptional Nigerians currently working in the federal and state civil services to undertake a Master of Policy degree at the University of Oxford.
The foundation announced, in a publication via its website, that its 2023-2024 round is now open for entries.
Successful candidates, it said, can look forward to spending the year at Oxford varsity — one of the world’s top universities.
Within the period of their degree, successful applicants will acquire knowledge and skills from the academic faculty and expert practitioners while interacting with other public sector leaders worldwide.
Among its eligibility criteria, AIG said an applicant must be a Nigerian currently working in the public sector.
This includes ministries, departments, agencies, and parastatals at either federal or state levels.
Applicants are required to be between the age range of 25 to 45.
They must also have a minimum of seven years (combined private and public sector) of work experience.
AIG said they must also have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class upper qualification.
The deadline for applications is September 9, 2022.
