Chike, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has put out the visuals for ‘Nwoke Oma’, his latest single.
The music video was released on Friday. ‘Nwoke Oma’ is a track off ‘Brother’s Keeper, Chike’s upcoming album.
The video, which is directed by Pinkline, paints a vivid picture with an inspirational and spectacular visual.
With his melodious voice, Chike talks about the friends who are only attracted to success.
“When you dey hustle/you go dey all alone/When you succeed/they go call you their own/Na because you don dey for the throne/they dey call you Nwoke Oma,” he sings.
‘Nwoke Oma’ — which means ‘good man’ or ‘good person’ — serves as an encouragement to people who are hustling and striving to create a better life for themselves and their families.
The musician, whose real name is Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, had participated in the Voice of Nigeria, a music show, in 2016.
He thereafter signed with the Universal Republic the same year, where he released ‘Fancy U’, his debut single, with the label.
Chike left the Universal Republic in November 2017 and then released ‘Beautiful People’, as an independent artist in February 2018 before he signed with Brothers Records.
