Joshua Olonitan, the Nigerian recording artist better known as Slim Joe, has passed away at the age of 30.

Pretty Okafor, president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), confirmed the singer’s death to TheCable Lifestyle.
Raymond Gbaji, his colleague, also took to Facebook to pay tributes to the singer.
It is understood that Slim Joe passed away on Sunday.

The singer earlier sought N15 million for surgery while battling a kidney condition.
Slim Joe had appealed for funds after he suffered kidney failure and was put on dialysis.
The singer had his hit song ‘O Ti Yan Yan’ dominate airplay in 2009.

The versatile entertainer hailed from Odo-Ayedun in Ikole LGA of Ekiti.
