Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, wife of Ebuka, the host of BBNaija, says she couldn’t stand to watch him during his stint as a housemate on the show.
She spoke on Saturday via her Twitter page — to which Ebuka jokingly replied.
“It’s strange that I couldn’t stand Ebuka during his season of big brother,” she wrote.
“When you start hating something you love so much because you couldn’t have it,” the reality show host replied.
Ebuka was one of the housemates in the first season of the reality show.
Despite not winning the BBNaija during his stint in 2006, he has remained one of the most successful participants.
In 2017, he was announced as the host of the second season and has been in charge ever since.
The 39-year-old media personality had earlier recalled how he met Cynthia on Twitter when he featured on Schick Magazine, a Lagos-based media brand.
“I met her on Twitter. We followed each other, DM’d a few times and then kept it moving,” he said.
“The connection wasn’t instant, but over time I think I realised that, beyond how much of a happy person she is, our values aligned so strongly that an attraction started to form.
“It also helps that she has the biggest smile in the world and laughed a lot at things I said and vice versa. From the day we started talking seriously, I knew literally 2 months later that I wanted to marry her.”
The lovebirds got engaged in April 2015 after dating for a while and tied the knot on February 6, 2016.
The union has so far been blessed with 2 beautiful children.
