‘Finding Hubby’, a romantic comedy film produced by Femi Ogunsanwo, award-winning filmmaker, is set to premiere on Netflix, US streaming platform, on July 9.
The film, which is an adaptation of the viral story of the same name by Tunde Leye, Nigerian author, was released in December 2020.
The movie follows the fictional story of Oyin Clegg, a 35-year-old woman, and her two friends as they share the journey of finding their dream men.
Finding Hubby’ also explores themes of friendship, love, and finding happiness in oneself.
The film features Ade Laoye and Omowunmi Dada, who recently starred in ‘AYINLA’, a Tunde Kelani film, as well as Kehinde Bankole, Efa Iwara, Munachi Abii, and Paul Utomi, among others.
The renowned producer took to his Instagram page on Friday to break the news alongside the movie art cover.
Ogunsawno also appreciated the cast and crew members who made the production of the movie a success.
“July 9th Netflix. To the Cast & Crew of ‘Finding Hubby’ I say, thank you,” he wrote.
“To everyone, Please add to your ‘my list/ watch list’ on Netflix.”

In a chat with TheCable Lifestyle, Leye had said that the movie is one of the most important stories in his writing career.
He also noted that it emphasizes the fact that in the process of finding hubby, people should not lose themselves and remember that a happy marriage is the ultimate.
On his part, Oris Aigbokhaevbolo, a Nollywood critic, described ‘Finding Hubby’ as a film that tacitly acknowledges the many spheres of pressure the average young adult dwells in.
