AY, Funke Akindele, Bovi, and Tonto Dikeh have joined several other Nigerian celebrities to commemorate this year’s edition of Father’s Day.
Although the date differs across the globe, Father’s Day is held annually to honour fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society.
Expectedly, top celebrities took to their social media pages on Sunday to either celebrate themselves or their loved ones on the occasion.
Joining the fray, AY shared a lovely post dedicated to him by Mabel, his wife.

“Happy Father’s Day to an amazing father. May God continue to bless and keep you. We love you loads @aycomedian,” it read.
Similarly, Bovi penned a note to himself wherein he reflected on his days in secondary school and journey to fatherhood.
“Happy Father’s Day to you! After you ate your school fees once in secondary school and found it hard to get it back on time, you vowed never to spend your school fees and that of your future children. You have kept that promise. For this singular reason, happy Father’s Day to you Bovi…” he wrote.

On her part, Dikeh shared a picture of herself clad in a male outfit alongside King Andre, her son, to mark the occasion.
In a post accompanying the photo, the movie star appreciated herself for being able to shoulder the responsibilities believed to be exclusive to men.
