Tawny Kitaen, US actress and media personality prominent for her role in ‘Bachelor Party’ and provocative 1980s rock videos, has passed away at 59.

NAN reports that the Orange County coroner’s office broke the news of the movie star’s demise in a release on Friday.

The actress cum comedian was said to have breathed her last in California, although the cause of her death was not revealed.

Kitaen started pulling the weight of fame when she starred in ‘Bachelor Party’, a 1984 film by Tome Hanks.

She then appeared in music videos for heavy metal bands Ratt and Whitesnake, including in ‘Back for More’ and ‘Is This Love.’

Kitaen memorably performed the splits and other moves on two Jaguar hoods in Whitesnake’s ‘Here I Go Again’ and later married David Coverdale, the lead singer.

She also appeared on TV shows like ‘The New WKRP in Cincinnati’, ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’ as well as reality shows such as ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew’ and ‘Botched.’

The deceased was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in August 1961.

Until her demise, she snagged numerous awards as well as recognition.

Her death further stretches the list of celebrities that have passed on since the dawn of the year.
