Peter Okoye, a member of the now-defunct music duo P-Square, has paid tribute to Adebayo ‘Howie-T’ Odusami, a former manager of the group, who died of a stroke.
Howie-T, through Adrot Entertainment Inc, managed P-Square after they moved to Lagos, seeing the group release their first album and win a competition sponsored by Benson & Hedges in 2001.
Peter, better known as Mr P, took to Instagram page to share a picture Howie T while bidding farewell to him. He stated that the deceased had been there when the chips were down for the defunct group.
“There are certain people in people in life that your story or journey is incomplete without, Howie T is one of such people” the former P-Square member, wrote in his tribute.
“I honestly believed you’d pull through this time and I’m thankful I got to spend some time with you recently, reliving some of the early days and talking about what the future holds.
“Thank you Howie for believing and being there for us. Thank you for your tremendous contribution to my career and the Nigerian entertainment industry.
“My family and I, our thoughts and prayers are with Tunrayo and the girls at this very difficult time. Good night big man.”

Peter and Paul Okoye, his twin, had started P-Square back in their high school but disbanded in 2016 after a disagreement on the role of Jude Okoye, their brother and immediate past manager.
While speaking on the possibility of the group’s comeback after a squabble with Peter, Jude said he tried everything humanly possible to bring them back together but his efforts proved abortive.
“I think I’m to blame for my being silent all this while. This problem has nothing to do with Peter and Paul. Peter and Paul are not quarreling,” the record label executive had explained.
“Peter was fighting me to be out from P-Square all because Usher, Beyonce, did it. Paul was like, ‘Give me a reason why Jude has to go. If I don’t get a reason, Jude isn’t going anywhere.’
“Now Paul has to be punished for supporting me. What I’m trying to say is that I’m done keeping quiet. What I see anytime I google my name is not impressive to me.”
