Sam Lloyd, an American actor renowned for his role as Ted Buckland in ‘Scrubs’, a comedy-drama television series, has died after battling a brain tumor.
In January last year, the 56-year-old singer was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor and cancer, which eventually spread to his lungs, jaw, liver, and spine.
Lloyd, however, breathed his last on Thursday, a year after Vanessa Lloyd, his wife, had given birth to their first child together.
“Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today. (Ted). Truly such a kind, sweet guy. He will be missed by so many,” Bill Lawrence, the creator of ‘Scrubs’, said while confirming his death on Friday.

“Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”
Rest In Peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working with. Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy. pic.twitter.com/wwyvGNbveG
