Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has made the BBC’s list of 100 inspirational and innovative women for 2017.
This year’s theme will focus on tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
The women who made the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge- split into four teams- sharing their experiences and creating innovative ways to tackle topical issues such as: The glass ceiling, Female illiteracy, Street harassment and Sexism in sport.
The ‘All Over’ singer is one of eight African women recognized for their works including the Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
Other countries that made the global list include Kenya, Morocco, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
The Mavin Records singer recently put out her much-anticipated EP entitled ‘Sugarcane’.
Barely hours after its release, the new project- described as “short and sweet”- received a major hype from British rock band Coldplay.
