Alex Okosi, executive vice president and MD of VIMN Africa, will serve as a keynote speaker at the fifth edition of Nigerian Entertainment Conference.

Tagged #NECLive5, the conference will take place on Wednesday, April 26, at Landmark Events Centre, Lagos.

Other speakers at the event include comedian, Ali Baba, African Fuji maestro, K1 the Ultimate, Basketmouth, award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage, veteran broadcaster, Patrick Doyle, managing director City FM, Doja Allen, Toke Makinwa, Adesua Etomi, Adewale Ayuba, Daddy Showkey, Frank Donga.

Okosi will lead the business session of the conference, educating thousands of producers, managers, creative directors who will be in attendance.

Themed ‘It’s Time for Africa’, #NECLive5 will serve as a platform for industry stakeholders to discuss key issues bordering on the growing global adoption of African entertainment and how the continent’s economies can take full advantage of it.

“It’s an honour to be speaking at this year’s NEC,” said Okosi.

“Recognising and creating opportunities to promote Africa globally via great content and initiatives has always been a passion of my mine and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences in launching MTV Base and growing VIMN Africa.

“I would like to demonstrate to the audience that this really is the time for Africans to make their mark in the entertainment industry.”

Okosi spearheaded the launch of MTV Base, MTV’s 100th international channel, in February 2005.
