American rapper, Joseph Antonio Cartagena, better known as Fat Joe, has described Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage as the “Rihanna” of Africa.
Fat Joe, while speaking during an interview on The Breakfast Club on Hot 97, described Savage as the biggest African female artiste.
The rapper also revealed that Savage had collaborated with his music partner and Grammy-nominated rapper, Remy Ma.
“She did the African chick, the biggest African chick… Tiwa Savage. She’s Jewish though. She’s huge yo, she’s like the African Rihanna type, you know. She’s big,” Fat Joe said.
Remy Ma and Fat Joe are set to release their joint album titled Plata o Plomo on Friday after enjoying a return to the charts with All the way up in 2016.
Tiwa Savage, who is signed to Jay-Z’a Roc Nation and Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, is expected to release several international collaborations in 2017.
TheCable Lifestyle recently confirmed that Mavin and Roc Nation were in the process of sealing a partnership arrangement.
