American tennis superstar, Serena Williams, is engaged to Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit.
Williams, 35, used the social media platform to announce her engagement to 33-year-old Ohanian.
The engagement announcement was made by Williams on r/isaidyes, a forum where users share stories of wedding proposals.
In the form a poem, the tennis player revealed that Ohanian proposed to her in Rome, the city where they first met “by chance”.

Ohanian replied Williams’ post in her comment section, saying, “And you made me the happiest man on the planet”.
Kelly Bush Novak, a spokesperson for Williams, told New York Times that a wedding date is yet to be fixed.
Novak was quoted to have said that the couple had known each other for some time before they started dating last fall.
Serena Williams is the highest-paid female athlete in the world and has won 22 tennis grand slams.
Reddit, a social media community, was founded in 2005 by Ohanian and Steve Huffman.
The pair successfully managed to keep their relationship private and off the tabloids while Williams kept getting linked with several male celebrities.
