Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Nigerian actress, would perform at the 2016 Cape Town Fringe Festival coming up between September 22 and October 8.
Graham-Douglas was among the selected African actors and actresses that would be performing the drama titled ‘Wait’ at the festival.
‘Wait’ is a stage drama that made its debut at Samuel Beckett theatre, Ireland, in 2015; the play explains the strength of the African woman ready to combat the system of early marriage that confronts her.
“Girls should be allowed to be girls, their innocence should not be stolen by forcing them into early marriage and every woman has a right to be educated. The message of ‘Wait’ is important and I am honoured”, an excited Graham-Douglas said.
“‘Wait’ would air at Cape Town city hall auditorium, Cape Town, South Africa; the show days and time are September 22nd at 17:00, 23rd at 19:00, 24th at 17:00, 25th at 19:00, 27th at 17:00 and September 28th at 21:00.”
