Ambitio et Gratia, a foundation focused on empowering young people, last week Saturday made an outreach to the Bales of Mercy orphanage in Gbagada, Lagos.

Founded by Kako Johnson, ex-president of the Babcock University Student Association (BUSA), Ambitio is in the business of putting smiles on faces of less privileged children.

One of the foundation’s supporters, Dr. Bode was moved by Kako’s vision that he revealed that he and his wife were considering adopting one or two of the children at the orphanage.

Speaking with TheCable LifeStyle, Kako said: “The vision is to identify and cater for the welfare of young people. Clearly, I feel there is something that can be done here.

“Right now it’s just to care for the Nigerian youth in the little way we can. Many people say the problem of Nigeria is too much but if we don’t start with your neighbor, if you don’t start exactly where you are, you can’t do anything.”

“Imagine a scenario where even just 10 percent of the whole Nigeria decide that they would intentionally engage in being nice.

“I’m going to do something nice to at least three people today” then 10 percent of Nigeria will be a happier place for us to stay.”

Ambitio, a non-profit organisation, also facilitates workshops, seminars and tutorials for undergraduates.
