The aircraft spent over an hour and half in the air before hitting a telegraph pole as it attempted to land.

“The Airlander experienced a heavy landing and the front of the flight deck has sustained some damage which is currently being assessed,” Hybrid Air Vehicles said in a statement.

Last week, the aircraft embarked on its maiden flight after the initial attempt was cancelled due to technical issues.
