Tekashi 6ix9ine, US rapper, has testified that Cardi B, fellow rapper, is a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods street gang.
The colorful rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, on Thursday, gave his testimony in the racketeering case against Anthony ‘Harv’ Ellison and Ajermiah ‘Nuke’ Mack, who he claimed to be “associated with.”
He also testified against a number of his former collaborators and friends in his Manhattan federal court case.
According to Page, 6ix9ine testified that the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper has ties to the gang during cross-examination looking into his fast rise to fame.
6ix9ine is facing a mandatory sentence of 47 years in prison, but could gain freedom for cooperating with prosecutors in the racketeering trial.
“I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention,” he supposedly told the court of Cardi B.
During an eventful day three of his trial, the rapper went in depth about his life of crime with the crew.
Cardi B had previously spoken about her affiliation with the Brims subset of the Bloods.
“Here’s the thing. I never really wanted to talk about that, because I always wanted a music deal. I always want to keep my endorsements,” she told GQ in 2018.
Below is more information from Matthew Russell Lee, who’s been reporting on the trial from the federal courtroom in Manhattan.
